Our standard linen chutes have a diameter of 24″, but we provide customization options to fit your specific requirements. Select from 18″, 20″, 28″, 30″, and 36″ sizes.

Our linen chute intake doors are designed for ease of use and safety. Available in various sizes, these side-hinged doors feature a hand-operated format with a 180-degree opening. All doors are self-closing and provide a clear opening for bagged or bundled linens. They are also Class B 90-minute rated, complying with NFPA82 code requirements.

The floor frames of our linen chutes are fabricated using steel angle, ensuring strength and stability. Each frame is sized according to your specific floor loading requirements.

Your safety is our priority. We install a ½” IPS 165-degree sprinkler head with a shield above the top intake of the linen chute. Additional sprinklers and shields are placed at every other intake, following local fire codes.

The standard linen chute discharges into a recommended hopper. This hopper features a top-hinged, counterbalanced stainless steel door with a 1-1/2 Hr. 250°F U.L. “B” label, equipped with a fusible link for added safety. The reinforced bottom of the hopper features a #13 gauge impact plate and is supported with a 2″ pipe pedestal. Additionally, the hopper is equipped with a 2″ IPS drain flange for easy connection by a plumber.

To prevent unauthorized use of the chute, we offer optional features such as electric locks (EI), keyed cylinder locks, or card access locks that can be added to the intake doors.
